About Alex McAleer

Alex McAleer possesses the uncanny ability to apparently tap into his audiences' minds and read their thoughts at will.

Alex doesn't pretend to be a psychic - he doesn't read palms or talk to the dead; he reads people and talks to the living, combining contemporary mind reading with sharp wit and a flair for showmanship.

Being an only-child, Alex had many hobbies growing-up, including magic, but it wasn’t until his mother passed away when he was fourteen years old that Alex dedicated the next few years of his life to studying the manipulation techniques of psychics, mentalists, and hypnotists, teaching himself the unusual skills that would eventually take him all over the world.

For ten years, Alex has amazed audiences both in the UK and internationally - on stage, up close, and in the press including appearances on the BBC, London Live, ITV’s Good Morning Britain, and Australia's Today Tonight.

He has entertained corporate clients ranging from small independent companies to big household names such as AXA, Aviva, TSB, and Virgin Atlantic.

He is also a successful writer in the magic world having written several books on his own techniques and lectured them to psychology students, mentalists, and magicians at the prestigious Magic Circle.

Since 2014 Alex has toured nationwide with one of the UK’s largest touring magic shows Champions of Magic, and performed his own cabaret award nominated one-man show to sold out crowds at Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Fringe World in Perth, Australia.
